We're thrilled to announce that 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 has joined our team as the new HerMovement Inc ambassador in Chicago! With her passion for empowering women and creating positive change in her community, we know she'll be an incredible asset to our organization.

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 affectionally known as Carmen Strong. She was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. A product of Christian education from kindergarten to high school. Carmen married her high school sweetheart and had 4 now-grown children. They are all successful in their careers. Carmen is also a glamma of 7 grandchildren who all call her mama, something my oldest granddaughter started. They are her heartbeat. She loves to paint, draw, read, cook and travel. Carmen is fascinated with African American art and history.

Carmen received her bachelor’s degree in Human Services in 2013. Carmen received her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2016. She also has a certificate in anger management. She worked as a substance abuse counselor, crisis counselor, and taught mental health, and career exploration to high school students. She is also a health and wellness strategist. Some of her best attributes are her resourcefulness, persistence, and ingenious way of getting things done.

Carmen has a passion for helping people, especially young women, overcome obstacles and barriers and make transitions to building confidence and self-esteem. Carmen helps them realize their full potential to become strong and empowered women.
